Sisstrevolution is a relatively newer brand in the wetsuit industry. It all started back in 2018 as the sister company of Vissla, which makes a men’s line of suits. SISSTR, short for Sisstrevolution, comes from a combination of words: a shortened version of Vissla and the words revolution and evolution. The Women’s Seven Seas does not disappoint when it comes to quality and features. It’s no surprise the suit has generated a lot of interest, so we figured it was due for a thorough review.
You can find rippers like Lakey Peterson and other young female surfers repping Sisstrovelution suits. What makes the brand unique from the competition is the fact that it's rooted in surfing, a stylish yet laidback brand with no gimmicks made specifically for women.

Below, we'll review what stands out about the mid-range Sisstrevolution Women’s Seven Seas Wetsuit.
Sisstrevolution Women's Seven Seas
Neoprene and Liners
SISSTR is all about creating high-performance products that you can rely on, and their Seven Seas wetsuit is no exception. What makes this particular suit stand out is its use of Super Stretch Japanese limestone-based neoprene - a special kind of material that's warmer, stretchier, and more durable than other neoprenes out there.
Discover the innovative design of the women's wetsuit, crafted with two distinct liners for ultimate comfort and warmth. The maroon and cream-patterned Fever Fiber is carefully placed in the torso of the suit, providing maximum insulation and comfort. Unlike traditional thermal liners, the hollow fiber lining is incredibly lightweight, ensuring optimal insulation without added bulkiness. To top it off, the liner quickly dries once out of the water.
The solid maroon-colored Eco Fiber can be found below the waist and in the legs of the suit. This thermal liner allows for more freedom of movement when hitting that frontside snap off the lip or delicately dancing to the nose of your longboard to hang ten.
Seams and Stitching
The Seven Seas uses triple glued and blind stitched seams. This type of seam construction allows for greater flexibility throughout the suit and is more lightweight than an external seam weld. The neoprene panels are glued together with Aqua Alpha (AquaA) lamination glue. It’s water-based and free of toxic chemicals and solvents that are not only harmful to the environment but to our skin as well.
On the inside, the seams are covered in black-colored Super Stretch Neo 3.0 tape. Soft-to-the-touch, the tape keeps water out and seals in warmth, so you can enjoy that chilly morning dawn patrol.
Fit and Cut
Sisstrevolution is branded towards teenagers and young adult surfers. To achieve the ultimate fit, the Seven Seas was designed and manufactured with a tailored female-specific shape. With the tailored outline, the suit has a more curvy feel. We’ve found the Seven Seas to fit on the smaller, slimmer side compared to competitor brands. That said, many of our customers have found the ideal fit by sizing up, especially with the thicker 5/4 and 6/5 models.
Like many competitor suits, initially, you’ll find the neoprene to feel a bit stiff. We’ve discovered that after a handful of sessions, the neoprene settles in and has a super comfortable fit.
Entry and Zipper
Whether you prefer a chest or back zip suit, the Seven Seas has you covered. The back zip model is popular amongst newer surfers and those with limited shoulder mobility since it utilizes a larger entry area. Compared to other back zips, the Seven Seas features a shorter zipper. Why does this matter? Because it means you'll have a suit that offers better flexibility and warmth, so you can stay in the water longer and catch more waves.
If this isn’t your first front zip suit, you know how crucial a quality chest zipper can be. Say farewell to those pesky detached zippers with the Seven Seas chest entry. Not only is it secure, but it's also pre-fed, meaning no more fumbling around with cold and clammy fingers--just zip and go.
You'll be amazed at how comfortable the women’s Sisstrevolution suit feels, thanks to the buttery-soft texture of the Super Stretch neoprene. While it doesn’t rank as the most flexible suit on the market, it makes up in warmth. And with chic branding accents on the leg, wrist, and upper back, you'll look stylish while you stay warm and comfy in the water.
For the rippers who don’t let a winter storm get in the way, you’ll appreciate that the 5/4 and 6/5 models incorporate smooth skin panels on the chest and back. The paneling adds weight to the suit, but the flip side is that the extra layer offers more warmth and protection from the wind. Lastly, the ankles and wrists have liquid tape cuff seals to help prevent flushing when diving under the water.
Value and Durability
With a starting price of $260 for the 3/2 model, the women’s Seven Seas suit falls into the mid-range category. The internally taped seams and quality neoprene ensure the suit is built to withstand the abuse of gnarly salt water and sand. Also important to note, the design incorporates fewer panels and minimal seams resulting in a more durable suit.
